Wrap Technologies (NASDAQ: WRAP) has announced the commercial launch of its WrapTactics Learning Management System (LMS), a digital platform that completes the training foundation of the company's WrapShield six-tier human-centered response architecture. The LMS provides digital learning, certification management, immersive virtual reality training, compliance reporting, and mobile learning to support deployment of its non-lethal response technologies, including the BolaWrap 150.
The launch follows the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives' 2026 classification of the BolaWrap 150 as an instrument of restraint rather than a firearm or weapon. This determination is expected to expand procurement opportunities beyond traditional law enforcement markets, as the device can now be considered for use in a wider range of public safety and security applications.
According to the company, WrapTactics is designed to create recurring subscription revenue through ongoing certification, curriculum updates, and compliance services. The platform also supports expansion into adjacent markets including private security, healthcare, corrections, education, and transportation. Wrap Technologies plans to broaden the platform with AI-assisted training assessment, additional digital certifications, advanced analytics, and partner-developed content as it targets federal, defense, and international opportunities.
The BolaWrap 150, which has been adopted by over 1,000 agencies across the U.S. and in 60 countries, is a patented device that deploys a multi-sensory, cognitive disruption to expand the pre-escalation period, giving officers time to manage non-compliant subjects before resorting to higher-force options. It does not shoot, strike, shock, or incapacitate, but rather helps officers strategically operate on the force continuum. The training for the device is certified by the International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training (IADLEST).
Wrap Technologies' portfolio also includes the WrapReality immersive training simulator, which provides first responders with realistic scenarios to enhance decision-making under stress, and the WrapVision body-worn camera and evidence management system, which offers cloud integration and a made-in-America roadmap.
