Woodbridge Pacific Pacific Group (WPG) has received seven nominations in the 2026 SoCal MAME Awards, a prestigious competition recognizing achievements in residential design, planning and development. The nominations honor three of the builder's design collections in California's desert locales: Plans Two and Four at Solace in Miralon, and the Daybreak design at Cotino, a Storyliving by Disney community in Rancho Mirage.
The recognition matters because it signals industry validation of WPG's approach to creating homes that appeal to move-up and empty-nester buyers seeking a desert lifestyle. The SoCal MAME judges nominated Plans Two and Four at Solace for Architectural Design, while Solace itself earned a nomination as an Architectural Series. The Daybreak design at Cotino was also nominated for Architectural Design. All three designs were additionally honored for Interior Merchandising of the model homes, underscoring the collaborative effort between architecture and interior design.
Hannouche Architects of Newport Beach served as the architectural firm for all nominated homes, while Chameleon Design of Costa Mesa created each model home's interior merchandising. Their involvement highlights the importance of partnerships in delivering cohesive, market-ready designs. Each of the three designs is now eligible for the So Cal MAME's Home of the Year designation, which will be announced at the November 14 awards ceremonies at the Westin Resort in Anaheim.
Lisa Parrish, Judging Chair for the SoCal MAME Awards, praised the team's work: "WPG and its team have earned a fine reputation for notable attention to detail, and these superb desert homes show us why this design/development team is so celebrated." The nominations reflect a broader trend in the homebuilding industry, where design excellence and thoughtful merchandising are increasingly critical to attracting discerning buyers in competitive markets.
WPG President Andrew Murphy expressed delight with the nominations and credited the partners: "We are delighted with these nominations and delighted that Hannouche and Chameleon are an important part of these prestigious honors. All of us strive to create new homes with persuasive, versatile designs, and to place these homes in locations that enrich the desert lifestyle for a wide variety of move-up and empty nester shoppers." He added that "Solace and Daybreak epitomize the excellence our shoppers expect from WPG neighborhoods."
The So Cal MAME Awards welcomes entries in some 30 categories that celebrate the achievements of design, planning and development companies and individual professionals. For WPG, the nominations reinforce its reputation as a selective developer and homebuilder with a strong track record of design and planning awards. The company's expansion in California and Idaho is supported by its capabilities in land acquisition and asset management, and its new home offerings are shaped by well-researched buyer preferences.
