VYRE Network Partners with Filmmaker Dr. Greg Carter to Curate Content for Texas and Regional Markets

VYRE Network (OTCID: VYRE), a free global streaming platform, has entered into a strategic partnership with acclaimed filmmaker and showrunner Dr. Greg Carter, founder of Nexus Entertainment. Under the agreement, Dr. Carter will help shape VYRE's curated content strategy across Texas and adjacent regional markets, focusing on feature films, television series, docu-series, and live special events. The partnership is designed to tap into the creative potential of the region and provide a pathway for local filmmakers to reach global audiences.

Dr. Carter, a Houston native and Texas A&M University graduate, brings over two decades of experience as a creator, director, producer, and showrunner. His credits include more than 30 feature films and multiple network television projects, such as Lucky Girl, My B.F.F., One Crazy Christmas, Hip Hop Family Christmas, and Hip Hop Family Christmas Wedding, the latter produced with Jamie Foxx and Foxxhole Entertainment, premiering on VH1. He is also a professor of film media at the University of Houston Valenti School of Communication and a U of H President's Scholar. His recent work includes serving as creator and showrunner of the AMC Networks dramatic series 5th Ward.

Lamar Seay, Co-founder and Chief Content Officer of VYRE Network, commented, "Dr. Carter is both very talented and experienced. Our team is excited to bring on '5th Ward,' and for us to continue to collaborate in the future." Dr. Carter expressed his vision, stating, "My mission is simple: to empower regional creators and give them a real pathway to funding, development, production oversight, and worldwide exposure. Houston — and the entire region — is rich with untold stories and creative voices. This new office exists to cultivate those voices, shape them, and bring them to global audiences."

The partnership will involve Dr. Carter collaborating directly with VYRE's executive programming team to curate and develop high-performing regional content, establish strategic relationships with creators and studios, package select projects, and expand VYRE's footprint as a destination for culturally relevant storytelling. Additionally, Dr. Carter will lead educational sessions for Texas-based creators, covering project financing, deal structure, pitching, and distribution pathways.

Starting in 2026, audiences can stream curated titles from Nexus Entertainment and regional acquisitions free on the VYRE app across platforms like Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Samsung TV, LG, Sony, Tizen-enabled devices, iOS, Android, and via the web at https://vyre.tv. This partnership strengthens VYRE Network's role as a scalable platform for premium independent content while providing Nexus Entertainment and regional creators with global distribution and strategic infrastructure.

VYRE Network, launched in 2019, is dedicated to serving the next generation of filmmakers, TV creators, and athletes by providing global distribution, film financing, and production support, bridging the gap between independent and mainstream entertainment. By championing diverse voices, VYRE continues to redefine the entertainment landscape.
