Viromed Medical AG, a medical technology company specializing in cold plasma technology, has announced new distribution partnerships for its ViroCAP® product in Spain, Portugal, Greece, the Balkan region, Romania, and Saudi Arabia. These agreements, each concluded with a separate company for an individual market, include minimum purchase quantities, and the company expects additional sales of at least 3,000 devices per year based on these contracts.
ViroCAP® is a mobile medical device designed for the treatment of skin conditions using cold atmospheric plasma. It is intended for use by hospitals, private practice physicians, and surgically active medical specialists. The device represents a non-invasive approach to wound healing and dermatological treatments, leveraging the antimicrobial and regenerative properties of cold plasma.
Uwe Perbandt, Chief Executive Officer of Viromed Medical AG, commented, "With these new distribution partners, we are opening up several attractive markets in Southern and South-Eastern Europe as well as in the Middle East. The strong interest shown by our distribution partners underlines the high demand for our cold plasma technology. The new distribution partnerships are another important step in the implementation of our dynamic growth phase. Partnerships for additional countries are in preparation and are expected to be signed within the next four to six weeks."
This expansion builds on Viromed's existing international distribution network. The company already has numerous distribution and marketing partnerships, including an exclusive distribution agreement with the Korean company UMECO covering ten Asian countries, and a distribution partnership with TriPart TITAN GmbH & Co. KG for the Turkish market. These moves are part of Viromed's broader strategy to establish a global footprint for its cold plasma technology.
The significance of these new partnerships lies in Viromed's ability to penetrate markets with high potential for medical device adoption. Southern Europe and the Middle East represent regions with growing healthcare infrastructure and increasing demand for advanced wound care and dermatological treatments. By securing distribution in these areas, Viromed positions itself to capitalize on these trends, potentially accelerating revenue growth and market share.
Furthermore, the inclusion of minimum purchase quantities in the agreements provides a degree of revenue visibility, reducing uncertainty for investors. The expectation of at least 3,000 additional device sales per year underscores the commercial viability of ViroCAP® and the effectiveness of Viromed's distribution strategy.
Viromed Medical AG, listed on the stock exchange since October 2022, focuses on the development, manufacture, and distribution of medical products. Its operating business, conducted through its wholly owned subsidiary Viromed Medical GmbH, centers on innovative cold plasma technology for medical applications. The company has a broad customer base in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) and beyond, and aims to further advance the use of cold plasma in medicine.
The company's commitment to expanding its international presence is evident, and the upcoming partnerships expected within the next four to six weeks indicate a continuation of this growth trajectory. As Viromed continues to forge new alliances, its position in the global medical technology market is likely to strengthen, offering enhanced access to cutting-edge treatments for patients and healthcare providers.
