Vinmec Healthcare System has officially launched a nationwide network of High-Tech Robotic Surgery Centers, establishing Vietnam's first integrated robotic surgery ecosystem. The network connects multiple specialties, hospitals, and global technology partners to expand access to cutting-edge surgical care. The flagship hub is Vinmec Times City International Hospital, linking centers at Vinmec Smart City, Vinmec Da Nang, Vinmec Central Park, Vinmec Can Tho, and other hospitals across the country.
For general surgery, Vinmec operates three leading robotic platforms: Da Vinci Xi at Vinmec Times City, Hugo RAS at Vinmec Da Nang and Vinmec Central Park, and Toumai MT-1000 at Vinmec Smart City and Vinmec Can Tho. These systems enable precise procedures in confined spaces, with Toumai MT-1000 also supporting 5G-enabled remote robotic surgery. In orthopedics, the network uses ROSA, MISSO, and CORI robots for joint replacement, providing personalized planning and millimeter-level precision. For neurosurgery and spine surgery, Vinmec has integrated the StealthStation S8, Mazor X Stealth Edition, and O-arm imaging platforms at Vinmec Smart City and Vinmec Da Nang, enhancing real-time navigation and safety.
Vinmec also introduced a "3-in-1" robotic surgery model based on personalization, automation, and standardization. Each patient receives a tailored plan using 3D reconstruction and simulation, AI-assisted robotic support during surgery, and treatment following international standards. To operate this ecosystem, Vinmec has trained a multidisciplinary team with rigorous certification and international robotic surgery programs.
Alongside the network launch, Vinmec announced the Robotic Surgery Patient Support Fund, backed by nearly VND 300 billion from Vingroup, to reduce financial barriers for patients needing advanced robotic surgery. Prof. Tran Van Thuan, Deputy Minister of Health, praised Vinmec's vision and the fund's humanitarian value. Prof. Tran Trung Dung, CEO of Vinmec, stated the network aims to provide Vietnamese patients with advanced surgical innovations and position Vietnam as a regional destination for high-tech healthcare. Assoc. Prof. Pham Van Binh, Director of the network, emphasized the centers' role as academic institutions integrating clinical practice, training, research, and technology transfer. The launch marks a significant step toward precision, personalized, and technology-driven surgery in Vietnam.
