Verizon Launches Gizmo Watch 4 with Enhanced Safety Features for Kids

Verizon today announced the launch of the Gizmo Watch 4, the latest addition to its Verizon Family ecosystem. Designed for children, the smartwatch introduces advanced safety features including Watch Removal Detection alerts, real-time location insights, and upcoming severe weather notifications. The device aims to give parents peace of mind while providing kids with a connected experience free from social media and unfiltered web browsing.

The Gizmo Watch 4 includes a 1.6-inch scratch-resistant glass screen and a water-resistant design. It features a faster processor and a battery life of up to three days, supporting high-quality video calling on Verizon's network. Parents can manage the watch through the Verizon Family app, setting custom safe zones, adding up to 40 trusted contacts, and enabling a distraction-free school mode. The watch also includes step counters, to-do lists, and kid-friendly educational tools.

Verizon is offering the Gizmo Watch 4 for free with a new line on a 36-month payment plan, available from July 9 through September 3, 2026. The promotion provides $180 in credits over the plan term. Additionally, Verizon Loyalty members can avoid activation fees, and all customers can participate in Verizon Shine for weekly chances to win experiences and merchandise. The watch comes in Dusk Blue and Pistachio Pin and can be ordered at verizon.com or through the My Verizon App. For more parenting resources, visit Parenting in a Digital World.
