Vast Coworking Group Reports Strong Growth Across Global Portfolio in 2025

Vast Coworking Group, the world's largest privately owned franchisor of coworking spaces, reported strong year-over-year performance across its portfolio of brands in 2025, including systemwide sales, membership growth, and franchise development. The company's three brands—Venture X, Office Evolution, and Intelligent Office—collectively continued to scale, making Vast the second-largest flexible workspace network in North America and third-largest worldwide by location count.

The flexible office sector is experiencing an accelerating shift as enterprises and entrepreneurs seek alternatives to traditional leases. According to the company, flexible workspace represents only about 2% of U.S. office inventory but is one of the fastest-growing categories in commercial real estate, increasingly recognized as essential to modern office portfolios. Vast's performance in 2025 reflected these trends, with Venture X reporting an 11% increase in annual revenue and Office Evolution posting a 13% increase. Intelligent Office maintained a stable revenue base while refining its virtual office and professional services offerings ahead of expansion plans for 2026.

Membership growth was a key indicator for Vast's portfolio. Venture X grew its global membership by 67%, Office Evolution by 50%, and Intelligent Office surpassed 4,800 members across locations and virtual channels. The company also increased its global square footage: Venture X exceeded 1.49 million square feet, Office Evolution surpassed 919,700 square feet, and Intelligent Office topped 324,800 square feet, totaling more than 2.7 million square feet worldwide.

Development activity accelerated throughout 2025. Venture X and Office Evolution opened 11 and 6 new locations, respectively, with strong franchise interest in suburban and secondary markets. Franchise development resulted in 13 new Venture X agreements, 16 for Office Evolution, and 11 for Intelligent Office, with 34 locations already in the pipeline for 2026. Additionally, Vast expanded its global footprint: Office Evolution opened its first international locations in Canada and South Africa and signed a master license agreement for the United Kingdom. Venture X expanded a location in India and signed a master license agreement for South Africa.

“We're now in the era of 'Coworking 4.0' with commercial real estate having a flex-first approach,” said Jason Anderson, Co-Founder and CEO of Vast. “Fortune 500 companies and other major enterprises—even the government—are turning to flex to accommodate hybrid and distributed workforces without long-term leases. The performance of our brands in 2025 underscores the strength of our portfolio and franchise model.” Opportunities are available for coworking operators, investors, prospective franchisees, landlords, and brokers.
