Utah Governor and BioUtah Recognize Co-Diagnostics for Saudi Arabia Joint Venture

Utah Governor Spencer Cox and BioUtah President and CEO Kelvyn Cullimore have recognized Co-Diagnostics, Inc. (Nasdaq: CODX) following the company's announcement of a joint venture in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The recognition underscores the significance of the Utah-based diagnostics company's expansion into the Middle East and North Africa.

Governor Cox praised Co-Diagnostics as a "Utah-born company competing on the world stage," noting that its expansion across the Middle East and North Africa reflects the strength of Utah's life sciences and the grit of its entrepreneurs. "We're proud to see a Utah company building tools that help more patients around the world," he said.

Kelvyn Cullimore, President and CEO of BioUtah, added that BioUtah is proud to count Co-Diagnostics among its Elite members. "Their recent signing of a definitive JV agreement with a company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia further confirms Co-Diagnostics' expanding leadership and presence on the worldwide stage," Cullimore said. "We couldn't be more pleased with the way they represent the Utah life sciences community, one of the fastest growing in the United States."

The joint venture, named CoMira Diagnostics, was announced in a recent press release from Co-Diagnostics. The company develops, manufactures, and markets advanced molecular diagnostic tests using its patented platform. Its technologies are utilized for tests designed to detect and analyze nucleic acid molecules (DNA or RNA). The company also uses its proprietary technology to design specific tests for its Co-Dx PCR at-home and point-of-care platform (subject to regulatory review and not currently for sale) and to identify genetic markers for applications beyond infectious disease.

BioUtah is an independent 501(c)(6) trade association serving Utah's life sciences industry. Its member companies represent a broad spectrum of strengths in medical device manufacturing and services, research and testing, biotechnology, biopharmaceuticals, and diagnostics. They are a key driver of Utah's economy and advancing healthcare.

The recognition by state leaders and industry association highlights the importance of Co-Diagnostics' international expansion for Utah's economy and its life sciences sector. The joint venture in Saudi Arabia positions the company to address diagnostic needs in the region and represents a significant step in its global growth strategy.
