UGI Utilities Announces 0.9% Bill Increase Due to Higher Natural Gas Supply Costs

UGI Utilities, Inc. announced a smaller-than-expected increase in the purchased gas cost rate effective December 1, 2025. The average residential heating customer will see a 0.9% increase in their total monthly bill, from $118.43 to $119.49.

The adjustment reflects the rising cost of natural gas in the wholesale market. Utilities are required by law to pass the cost of purchased gas directly to customers without any markup, UGI noted.

Recognizing that some customers may face difficulty paying their heating bills, UGI encourages those with limited or fixed incomes to visit www.ugi.com/customerassistance or call 1-800-UGI-WARM to determine eligibility for energy assistance programs. UGI can also assist eligible customers in applying for federally funded Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) grants when the application process opens on December 3.

In addition, UGI offers budget billing and multiple payment options, including via the online account center and app, and an auto-pay program to help manage bills. The company also encourages customers to use energy wisely and make efficiency improvements. More information is available at www.ugi.com/energy-saving-tips.
