Ucore Rare Metals Inc. (TSX.V: UCU) (OTCQX: UURAF) has announced the submission of its final reporting under Phase 1 of its Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) with the US Department of War to the US Army Contracting Command – Orlando. The submission includes a Final Demonstration Report and Techno-Economic Analysis for work completed at its RapidSX Commercialization and Demonstration Facility in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
The report details approximately 6,000 hours of simulated commercial operation and more than 10,000 recovery and purity comparison points. The results demonstrate that Ucore's proprietary RapidSX platform efficiently executed solvent extraction chemistry and produced thousands of liters of rare earth chloride products. This supports the technology's scalability and capital efficiency compared with conventional solvent extraction methods, a critical factor for domestic rare earth processing capabilities.
The completion of Phase 1 marks a significant milestone for Ucore as it progresses towards commercializing its RapidSX technology, which aims to disrupt the People's Republic of China's control of the North American rare earth element (REE) supply chain. The company plans to leverage this technology for the near-term development of a heavy and light rare-earth processing facility in Louisiana, subsequent satellite processing centers in Canada and Alaska, and the longer-term development of its 100%-controlled Bokan-Dotson Ridge Rare Heavy REE Project in Southeast Alaska.
