VerifyInvestor.com, powered by tZERO Group, Inc., has released The Accredited Investor Outlook 2026, a research report based on survey responses from more than 200 verified accredited investors across the United States. The report reveals that accredited investors are actively seeking to deploy capital, with over three-quarters (77%) planning to make an investment within the next six months and nearly half expecting to invest within three months. Real estate (66%) and private equity/venture capital (61%) lead investment interest, while digital asset securities attracted interest from 27% of respondents, exceeding traditional alternative categories such as infrastructure, hedge funds, and energy-focused investments.
The survey indicates that investors prioritize fundamentals and trust over liquidity. While expected returns rank as the top evaluation criterion (70%), management quality (50.5%), downside protection and risk mitigation (49%), and sponsor track record (48.5%) are nearly as important. Liquidity potential ranks among the lowest criteria at 18%, suggesting a willingness to commit capital to longer-duration opportunities when underlying fundamentals are compelling.
Tokenized securities are at an inflection point, according to the report. Only 11% of respondents describe themselves as very familiar with tokenized securities, yet 27% express interest in digital asset securities as an investment category. This gap points to education as the primary barrier to broader adoption, rather than a lack of demand. The report identifies investor awareness progressing through three stages: curiosity, education, and adoption.
