TruGolf Acquires Polymath Research, Bridging Golf Technology and Regulated Blockchain Assets

TruGolf Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: TRUG), a company known for its golf simulators and E6 CONNECT platform, has completed its acquisition of Polymath Research Inc., a Canadian firm specializing in institutional asset tokenization and the developer of Polymesh, a Layer-1 blockchain designed for regulated assets. The deal, announced via TruGolf (NASDAQ: TRUG), positions the combined entity to operate two complementary revenue streams: its established golf technology business and a blockchain infrastructure segment focused on tokenized real-world assets.

Polymath brings significant traction to the table. As of Dec. 31, 2025, the company had issued more than $132 million in tokenized assets for over 65 active issuers, supported by more than 50 ecosystem partners. This track record in regulated tokenization provides TruGolf with immediate scale in a sector that is increasingly drawing institutional interest. The acquisition also includes plans to develop tokenized equipment leasing and fractional franchise ownership programs, targeted for launch in the first quarter of 2027. These initiatives could open new financing models for TruGolf’s golf simulator installations and franchise operations, potentially lowering barriers for customers and partners.

Following the acquisition, Polymath will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary while TruGolf continues its golf technology operations. Leadership changes reflect the strategic integration: Natalie Hirsch, formerly Polymath’s chief financial officer and interim CEO, has been appointed chief financial officer and chief operating officer of TruGolf, while David Hackett has joined the board of directors. In connection with the transaction, TruGolf also received approximately $2.95 million in net proceeds from the exercise of Series B preferred warrants, strengthening its balance sheet.

The implications of this deal extend beyond a simple diversification play. By merging a legacy golf technology business with a regulated blockchain platform, TruGolf is positioning itself at the intersection of two growing trends: the digital transformation of traditional industries and the tokenization of real-world assets. Polymesh’s focus on regulatory compliance could give TruGolf a differentiated offering in the asset tokenization space, where many competitors face legal and compliance hurdles. For investors, the combined company offers exposure to both the steady golf simulation market and the potentially high-growth tokenization sector.
