Trilogy Metals Inc. (NYSE American: TMQ) (TSX: TMQ) announced senior management appointments at its 50/50 joint venture with South32 Limited, Ambler Metals LLC, which is advancing the Upper Kobuk Mineral Projects in Alaska’s Ambler Mining District. The appointments strengthen Ambler Metals’ technical, financial, and permitting leadership as it advances exploration drilling, community engagement, feasibility planning, and expedited federal permitting under FAST-41, positioning the venture to support near-term milestones and progress toward an investment decision on the Arctic Project.
Michael Galicki has been named Vice President, Exploration; Cole Schaeffer Vice President, Human Resources, Community and Partnerships; Jenna Tan Vice President, Finance; and Ron Rimelman Senior Director, Permitting. These roles are critical as Ambler Metals pushes forward with its development plans. The Upper Kobuk Mineral Projects are located in one of the world’s most prospective copper-dominant districts, hosting world-class polymetallic volcanogenic massive sulphide and carbonate replacement deposits.
Trilogy Metals holds a 50% interest in Ambler Metals, which owns 100% of the projects. The joint venture operates under an agreement with NANA Regional Corporation, Inc., supporting responsible exploration and development in cooperation with local communities. The company’s vision is to develop the Ambler Mining District into a premier North American copper producer while respecting subsistence livelihoods.
The appointments come at a pivotal time as the venture seeks to capitalize on the expedited permitting process under FAST-41, which aims to streamline federal reviews. With new leadership in place, Ambler Metals is better positioned to navigate regulatory hurdles and engage with stakeholders. The exploration focus remains on the Arctic VMS deposit and the Bornite copper-cobalt deposit.
