VANCOUVER, BC - Trailbreaker Resources Ltd. (TBK.V) has completed its maiden drill program at the Swan Zone within its 100%-owned Atsutla Gold Project in northwestern British Columbia. The Swan Zone is a copper-gold-silver porphyry target defined by coincident geochemical and geophysical anomalies. The drilling comprised two holes totaling 801.00 metres, testing a strike length of 1,000 metres and a vertical extent of 395 metres. This program was part of a larger effort that also targeted the Highlands Zone, a high-grade vein-hosted gold target located 26 km away.
The completion of this drilling is significant because it represents the first test of the Swan Zone, which has been identified through extensive surface exploration. The zone is characterized by a 1.5 km by 1.5 km multi-element soil geochemical anomaly (Au-Cu-Ag-As-Mo-Sb-Bi) coincident with a 2.1 km by 1.4 km donut-shaped chargeability high from a 2024 induced polarization survey. Rock grab samples from the zone have graded up to 11.7 g/t Au, 212 g/t Ag, and 0.81% Cu, indicating significant mineralization potential. The drilling results will be crucial in assessing the economic viability of this porphyry system and its contribution to the overall project value.
The Atsutla Gold Project is centered over the regional-scale Teslin-Thibert fault system, which marks the contact between the Quesnel and Cache Creek terranes. Gold mineralization on the property is associated with two distinct Mesozoic batholitic intrusions. Since discovery in 2020, Trailbreaker has outlined five significant zones of gold mineralization across a 26-kilometer span. These include the Highlands Zone with veins containing coarse visible gold assaying up to 630 g/t Au and 1,894 g/t Ag; the Christmas Creek Zone with rock samples up to 102 g/t Au; the Snook Zone with samples up to 53.3 g/t Au; the Willie Jack Zone with soil samples up to 3.77 g/t Au; and the Swan Zone, the newly drilled target.
The drill program at the Swan Zone, along with the earlier program at the Highlands Zone (four holes totaling 883.40 metres), represents a systematic approach to exploring the property's diverse mineralization styles. A total of 1,000 drill core samples, including standards and blanks, have been submitted to Bureau Veritas' prep lab in Whitehorse, YT, with assay results pending. These results will be pivotal in determining the next steps for exploration and development.
Daithi Mac Gearailt, President and CEO, commented: "This was a well-executed drill program that provided us with an excellent opportunity to finally test two quality targets that we have been developing for the past five years. This was a first-pass, exploratory program, and we achieved our goals while remaining within budget." The company's focus on systematic exploration and its commitment to shareholder value are underscored by this milestone.
As Trailbreaker awaits the assay results, the implications are significant for the company's future. Successful results could elevate the Swan Zone to a priority target, potentially increasing the project's overall resource potential. The exploration at Atsutla is part of Trailbreaker's broader strategy to develop quality mineral properties in mining-friendly jurisdictions. With an experienced management team and a portfolio of properties in British Columbia and Yukon, the company is well-positioned to advance its projects.
The completion of drilling at the Swan Zone marks a key step in Trailbreaker's exploration efforts. The company continues to demonstrate its ability to identify and test high-potential targets, which is essential for long-term growth in the mining sector.
