As the fitness industry gears up for its annual January surge, German sports nutrition brand TNT (True Nutrition Technology) is making a counterintuitive case: the best time to reset your fitness routine is now, not when the calendar flips to a new year. The company, which recently introduced its portfolio to U.S. retail buyers during its recent participation at ECRM, argues that fall's shifting schedules and shorter days are not reasons to pause training but opportunities to build habits that carry into January.
For many people, the transition from summer to fall disrupts established routines: daylight hours shrink, vacations end, school schedules return, and outdoor activities move indoors. The approaching holiday season adds further pressure. Rather than treating these changes as a reason to put fitness goals on hold, TNT believes adapting to them is more useful. "Consistency doesn't mean every workout or every week has to look exactly the same," said Markus Himmelstoss, Managing Director of TNT. "Schedules change. Seasons change. The important thing is finding a routine that works with those changes instead of continually stopping and starting."
The implications of this message extend beyond seasonal advice. TNT is positioning itself as a year-round partner for active lifestyles, a strategy that aligns with its broader business push into the United States. The company, founded in Germany in 2012 by former athletes Michael Weigl and Markus Himmelstoss, has built a customer base of more than 500,000 consumers and now aims to replicate that success in the American market. Its recent ECRM meetings with U.S. retail buyers were a key step in that expansion, introducing buyers to a portfolio designed for sustained performance rather than short-term trends.
That portfolio includes products such as Creapure Creatine Monohydrate, CLEAR WHEY protein isolate, and Synapsensause Pre-Workout, all produced under strict German quality standards and independently lab-tested for safety and purity. These products are available to U.S. consumers through Amazon and OneLavi, giving American athletes and everyday consumers direct access to the brand's evidence-based formulations.
Himmelstoss emphasized that the fundamentals of training and nutrition do not suddenly become important on January 1. "Whether someone trains year-round or is trying to get back into a routine, the fundamentals don't suddenly become important on January 1," he said. "Our message is to start where you are, build consistency and carry that momentum into the new year." For a brand like TNT, which has spent over a decade building a reputation on German precision and transparency, that philosophy is more than marketing—it is a reflection of its core identity. As the company continues to expand globally, including in the competitive U.S. market, its fall-focused message could resonate with consumers tired of the boom-and-bust cycle of New Year's resolutions.
