The Supervisory Board of Bastei Lubbe AG, listed on the Prime Standard segment of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, has appointed Tina Jurgens as the new Chief Marketing and Sales Officer, effective November 1, 2026. Jurgens brings extensive experience in digital publishing and content marketing, having served as Co-CEO of ZEBRALUTION Group, a leading digital distributor for book and audiobook publishers in Germany.
At ZEBRALUTION, Jurgens oversaw operations across digital publishing, podcasts, technology, finance, and HR since 2024. Her career there began in 2018 as Managing Director, where she founded zebra-audio.net, now ZEBRALUTION Podcast, and later became COO in 2022. Prior to that, she held positions at major media companies, including Suddeutsche Zeitung, Axel Springer, Bayerischer Rundfunk, and BRmedia, specializing in audio content marketing and digital business model development.
Carsten Dentler, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, expressed confidence in Jurgens' ability to strategically advance the marketing of Bastei Lubbe's content and brands. He highlighted her dual familiarity with both traditional media and digital business models as key assets. Jurgens succeeds Sandra Dittert, who left after six successful years. Dentler thanked Dittert for her contributions to the company's profitable growth and portfolio expansion.
This appointment comes as Bastei Lubbe, with annual revenues exceeding EUR 118 million, continues to position itself as an innovation driver in the publishing industry. The company, known for its popular fiction and digital media, will leverage Jurgens' expertise to strengthen its market presence and explore new growth opportunities. Her track record in building digital businesses is expected to be instrumental in navigating the evolving landscape of content consumption.
Jurgens' appointment signals a strategic move to intensify digital transformation and capitalize on emerging trends. Her experience in podcasting and audio content aligns with Bastei Lubbe's expansion into digital audio products. The company's portfolio, which includes over 14 imprints and a growing digital catalog, stands to benefit from her leadership in marketing and sales.
Stakeholders will be watching closely to see how Jurgens' strategies unfold, particularly in enhancing brand engagement and driving revenue through innovative channels. Her arrival marks a new chapter for Bastei Lubbe as it seeks to maintain its competitive edge in the German publishing market.
