The Dairy Alliance and GHSA Partner to Fuel Georgia High School Athletes with Milk's Got Game

The Dairy Alliance is bringing its Milk's Got Game campaign back to high school athletics in Georgia, aiming to educate student athletes about the role of real dairy in hydration, recovery, and nutrition. The initiative, which will run throughout the fall, winter, and spring sports seasons, targets athletes, coaches, and families with practical performance nutrition education centered on how dairy can support an active lifestyle.

A key component of the campaign is a partnership with the Georgia High School Association (GHSA). This collaboration will integrate Milk's Got Game directly into high school sports communities through digital performance nutrition programming, championship materials, and on-site activations. These efforts are designed to provide student athletes with accessible information about fueling and recovery, emphasizing milk's natural electrolytes for hydration, complete protein for muscle recovery, and essential nutrients that support strong bones and sustained energy.

At select state championship events, The Dairy Alliance will host on-site activations and provide chocolate milk to participating teams following competitions. This recovery-focused experience allows student athletes to refuel while experiencing the benefits of real dairy during some of the most significant moments of their athletic journeys. The initiative reinforces milk's naturally occurring electrolytes and complete protein as key components of a post-game recovery routine.

This year, the campaign will also involve local dairy farmers in championship celebrations. Farmers will present chocolate milk to teams, strengthening the connection between farm families and the communities they serve. This aspect of the partnership highlights the nutritional value of the milk they produce and celebrates the role of real dairy in fueling student-athlete performance.

To further engage the community, The Dairy Alliance encourages everyone to kick off the high school athletic season with a chocolate milk toast on September 27, National Chocolate Milk Day. This day offers athletes, families, and fans across Georgia an opportunity to enjoy chocolate milk and celebrate the goodness of real dairy. It serves as a simple reminder of chocolate milk's role as a familiar favorite with nutritional benefits, including complete protein and naturally occurring electrolytes, that support hydration and recovery for active lifestyles.

From the start of the season through championship celebrations, Milk's Got Game will continue to bring performance-focused dairy nutrition to high school athletics across Georgia. By helping athletes make informed nutrition choices and celebrating the people and communities behind the game, The Dairy Alliance aims to make a lasting impact on student-athlete health and performance.
