Steyr Motors AG, a global leader in customized engines for mission-critical defense and civilian applications, has secured a significant development order from a prominent international defense and technology group headquartered in Singapore. The publicly traded customer specializes in modern land vehicles, weapon systems, ammunition solutions, and integrated mobility and protection systems for armed forces and security authorities worldwide.
Under the contract, Steyr Motors will develop and supply its M14TCI-120 4-cylinder vehicle engine for a new, future-oriented all-terrain vehicle concept. The engine's high power density, exceptional reliability, and extreme robustness make it an ideal drive solution for the planned vehicle, underscoring Steyr Motors' technological leadership in mission-critical drive systems. The development contract covers engine delivery and development services, with current project planning indicating significant long-term sales potential for engine deliveries in the high three-digit range. The expected order volume for Steyr Motors is more than EUR 20 million by 2030, exceeding the previously communicated order backlog and reflecting growing international demand for powerful and reliable drive systems for modern emergency vehicles.
