SS Innovations to Showcase Robotic Surgery Innovations at SMRSC 2026 in New Delhi

SS Innovations International, Inc. (Nasdaq: SSII), a developer of surgical robotic technologies, announced it will host the Global Multi-Specialty Robotic Surgery Conference (SMRSC 2026) in New Delhi, India from April 9-11, 2026. The conference aims to unite global leaders in surgical robotics to discuss innovations and the future of minimally invasive surgery. Attendance is expected to surpass last year’s event, which drew over 1,400 attendees and 600 virtual participants from 17 nations.

Key highlights of SMRSC 2026 include more than 20 live telesurgeries using the SSi Mantra surgical robotic system, spanning multiple specialties. These demonstrations will explore critical aspects of telesurgery such as connectivity, latency management, cybersecurity, and clinical protocols. Several procedures will utilize the SSi MantrAsana Tele Surgeon Console, a compact chair-based version that enables portability and telesurgery from various settings including physician offices.

Among the innovations to be showcased is the SSi Vimana Aero Drone System, a drone-deployed trauma surgery system designed to bring expert robotic surgical care to wounded soldiers in active battle zones. The system lands near casualties and deploys two miniature robotic arms with seven degrees of freedom, operated remotely by a trauma surgeon. It is designed to address hemorrhaging, wound repair, chest decompression, shrapnel extraction, and field suturing to stabilize patients until evacuation.

The conference will also feature Project Operion, an interactive window into the future of surgical robotic technologies, including enhanced access beyond hospital walls, mobile high-tech surgical infrastructure, and telesurgery integration with real-time connectivity. The MantraM Mobile Robotic Telesurgery Unit (MantraM bus), designed to bring specialized surgical care to underserved communities, will be on display.

Multispecialty and cardiac-focused sessions will include live surgical demonstrations and panel discussions spanning urology, thoracic, gastroenterology, head and neck, gynecology, colorectal, general, and pediatric surgery. Distinguished guests include Dr. Fred Moll, recognized as the 'Father of Robotic Surgery,' Sri Madhusudan Sai, Dr. Naresh Treahan, Dr. Mylswamy Annadurai, and Dr. Ashutosh Tewari.

'We are thrilled to host SMRSC 2026 this week in New Delhi, where global experts in surgical robotic care will convene to discuss innovation and the future of our field,' said Dr. Sudhir Srivastava, Chairman and CEO of SS Innovations. 'From live telesurgeries and robotic surgeries to demonstrations of exciting new technologies, this year’s event will be our largest and will continue to elevate the theme of decentralizing and democratizing access to surgical robotic care.'
