SKAN Group AG Proposes Dr. Christian Schlogel for Board Election as Patrick Schar Steps Down After 16 Years

The Board of Directors of SKAN Group AG has announced the nomination of Dr. Christian Schlogel for election as a new member at the Annual General Meeting on May 7, 2026. Patrick Schar will not stand for re-election, concluding his 16-year tenure on the Board. This leadership change comes as SKAN Group accelerates its digital transformation and expands its software and digital integration services, following its majority acquisition of Metronik last year.

Dr. Christian Schlogel, a German citizen born in 1964, brings over 30 years of leadership experience in global technology, software, and industrial companies. He served as Group Chief Digital Officer and member of the Executive Board of Korber AG from 2018 to 2025, where he led digital transformation for the group's 14,000 employees. Prior to that, he was Group Chief Technology & Digital Officer at KUKA AG, an international automation and robotics firm with around 15,000 employees. He currently serves on administrative and advisory boards for various companies. Dr. Schlogel began his career at SAP AG and holds a degree in computer science from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and a doctorate in business administration from the University of Passau.

Beat Lüthi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SKAN Group, said: "SKAN expands its offering to include software and digital integration services, for which we acquired a majority stake in Metronik last year. In parallel, we are driving forward the digital transformation of the company and our services. Christian Schlögel can significantly support these initiatives, which are core elements of the strategy for future sales and margin growth, with his expertise. The Board of Directors is therefore delighted to be able to propose him for election to the shareholders."

Patrick Schar has decided not to stand for re-election for professional reasons. Lüthi added: "Patrick Schär has been on the Board of Directors for 16 years. With his professional background and experience as a financial expert, he has made a significant contribution to the development of the SKAN Group. We would like to thank him sincerely for his many years of commitment and the excellent collaboration and wish him all the best for his professional and personal future."

The company, founded in 1968, employs nearly 1,700 people, with headquarters in Allschwil, Switzerland, and subsidiaries in Germany, Belgium, France, Slovenia, Croatia, Japan, the USA, and Brazil.
