Seven HKTDC Lifestyle and Licensing Mega Events to Open Next Week, Featuring New Reimagine Floor and IP E-Commerce Zone

Seven annual lifestyle and licensing mega events organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) are set to open next week, spanning from April 27 to 30. The events include the Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair, Home InStyle, and Fashion InStyle at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), along with the Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair and DeLuxe PrintPack Hong Kong at AsiaWorld-Expo, and the Hong Kong International Licensing Show and Asian Licensing Conference at HKCEC. These fairs collectively showcase gifts, premiums, houseware, fashion, innovative materials, gerontechnology, cultural and creative products, sustainable goods, green printing, and intellectual property, leveraging Hong Kong's connectivity between the Chinese Mainland and international markets.

HKTDC Deputy Executive Director Jenny Koo emphasized that the events facilitate trade exchanges and reinforce Hong Kong's role as a super connector and super value-adder. This year, the seven mega events are expected to attract around 5,600 exhibitors from over 30 countries and regions, including first-time participants from Finland, Germany, Iceland, the United Arab Emirates, and Uzbekistan. New pavilions from Xinjiang, Wuhan, Shanxi, Jilin, Huangnan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, and Zhejiang will also debut, with the Zhejiang pavilion bringing 50 local enterprises. The fairs collectively feature over 820 green exhibitors and approximately 80 exhibitors showcasing innovative materials across various sectors.

A key highlight is the new Reimagine themed floor at HKCEC Hall 5, which merges the Gifts & Premium Fair and Home InStyle to present a vision of future lifestyles. This floor includes zones such as the Selection of ASEAN, The Bespoke Hub, and the Hong Kong Smart Design Global Awards, which is renamed to honor Hong Kong's original design talent. The Cultural and Creative Avenue brings together over 110 exhibitors from more than 10 countries and regions, partnering with Pantone to use the 2026 Colour of the Year "Cloud Dancer" as a theme for home décor settings. Additionally, Home InStyle debuts the Gerontech and Innovative Material Pavilion, funded by the Innovation and Technology Commission, featuring over 20 local exhibitors focusing on gerontechnology and innovative materials for the homeware market.

Fashion InStyle showcases multiple zones, including the highlighted NEXT@Fashion InStyle (NEXT), sponsored by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA). This year, the Philippines is NEXT's featured partner, with over 25 Philippine exhibitors, and the zone also includes exhibitors from Indonesia, Thailand, and Nordic countries like Iceland, Finland, and Sweden. Han Chong, founder of Self-Portrait, returns as project ambassador, leading six local designer brands in developing cross-disciplinary designs that will be unveiled at the NEXT Fashion Parade on April 28.

The Printing & Packaging Fair introduces smart packaging technologies, including RFID and anti-counterfeiting solutions, along with plant-based and bio-based materials. The Green Printing & Packaging Solutions Zone returns, and DeLuxe PrintPack Hong Kong focuses on premium packaging for high-end goods. Seminars on AI, sustainability, and creative design will feature representatives from FUJIFILM and BW Design Centre.

The Hong Kong International Licensing Show, in its 23rd edition, brings together over 600 brands and IPs, including Bandai Namco, Doraemon, and LINE FRIENDS. A new IP and e-Commerce Support Services Zone debuts, aligning with the HKSAR Government's policy to enhance cross-border e-commerce competitiveness. The Design Licensing and Business (DLAB) Support Scheme pavilion showcases nearly 40 local IPs, including Animomo and Emo Neko Club, tapping into the emotional economy. The concurrent Asian Licensing Conference, themed "Connecting Creativity, Unlocking Licensing Power," features sessions on global licensing trends, sports licensing, and VTubers.

The events adopt the EXHIBITION+ hybrid format, with AI-driven tools like Click2Match for business matching and Scan2Match for post-fair connections.
