Schaeffler AG opened its 13th Automotive Symposium on June 15, 2026, at its new Project and Technology Center in Bühl, Germany, presenting the company's latest innovations and technologies under the theme "Beyond Driving. Innovation made by Schaeffler." The event, which runs through June 17, brings together over 300 customers and industry experts to explore the future of mobility, highlighting Schaeffler's expanded product portfolio and comprehensive systems understanding.
According to Klaus Rosenfeld, CEO of Schaeffler AG, the symposium traditionally serves as a platform for lively discussions with customers and first-hand experiences of innovations. "As a motion technology company, we will present the expanded competencies and product portfolio combining our strengths in mechanical engineering and mechatronics with new complementary expertise in electronics and sensors resulting from our successful integration of Vitesco Technologies for the first time ever at this event," Rosenfeld said. The company aims to generate 10 percent of its revenue in new segments by 2035, while maintaining its core automotive business as indispensable.
The transformation of mobility and heterogeneous market developments globally require high innovative capacity, resilience, and speed to market. Thomas Stierle, CEO E-Mobility at Schaeffler AG, noted, "The dynamic developments in our markets present big challenges – and we are prepared to meet them. With our broad portfolio, our global presence and local supply chains, and our pronounced systems expertise, we consistently transfer innovations to mass production."
Schaeffler positions itself as a technology partner on eye level, offering integrated product innovations for cars, trucks, and two-wheelers. Matthias Zink, CEO Powertrain & Chassis at Schaeffler AG, explained, "One of our core strengths is the system-based approach that we take to link functions intelligently to provide a better driving experience." The company will display more than 320 products, grouped into four technology clusters: Vehicle Control, Chassis & Body, Powertrain, and Energy Management for passenger cars; zero-emission solutions for commercial vehicles including battery-electric and fuel cell-electric vehicles (BEVs and FCEVs) and hydrogen-powered internal combustion engines (H2-ICE); and for two-wheelers, bearings, engine control units, automatic transmissions, and connectivity solutions.
The Schaeffler Automotive Symposium is a global customer event held every four years. After the Europe leg in Bühl, it will continue in Detroit, USA, on September 17; Suzhou, China, from November 4–6; and Tokyo, Japan, on December 2–3.
