Safe Pro Group Inc. (NASDAQ: SPAI) has received a $780,000 purchase order from a new Department of War Prime Contractor, the company announced. The order includes its edge-based, AI-powered threat detection technologies and multiple Blue UAS drones, with work slated to begin in the third quarter of 2026 and conclude by the first quarter of 2027.
This award represents Safe Pro’s fifth recent U.S. government contract for its patented AI technology and establishes a new relationship with a defense prime contractor. The company said the order reflects growing government interest in its AI-powered threat detection and mapping capabilities, which are designed to enhance battlefield situational awareness.
The purchase order signals a continued shift toward AI-driven solutions in defense operations, where rapid and accurate detection of explosive threats is critical. Safe Pro’s technology leverages off-the-shelf drones equipped with proprietary machine learning and computer vision software, enabling faster and safer analysis compared to traditional manual methods.
Safe Pro Group is a mission-driven technology company delivering AI-enabled security and defense solutions through platforms like SPOTD. Its scalable cloud-based ecosystem, powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS), targets commercial, government, law enforcement, and humanitarian sectors.
“We are pleased to expand our relationship with the U.S. government through this new prime contractor,” said a company spokesperson. “This order validates the effectiveness of our AI technology and our ability to deliver critical situational awareness tools to warfighters.”
The announcement comes as defense agencies increasingly prioritize autonomous and AI-assisted systems to improve operational efficiency and safety. Safe Pro’s technology has been adopted in various missions, including humanitarian demining and homeland security applications.
