Resolute Dynamics, a Dubai-based manufacturer of speed limiters, GPS tracking and fleet safety technology, is expanding its intelligent fleet safety solutions for commercial operators in Malaysia and Singapore. The move comes as both countries implement significant speed limiter compliance changes this year, creating urgency for fleet operators to upgrade their vehicles.
In Malaysia, the Road Transport Department (JPJ) is rolling out its Speed Limitation Device (SLD) mandate in phases. Functionality verification began in October 2025, and ECU activation for older vehicles followed in January 2026. Full retrofit enforcement, originally scheduled for July 2026, has been postponed, with a grace period now in effect. However, the Accelerated Capital Allowance for SLD installation remains available only until 31 December 2026, providing a financial incentive for early compliance. Resolute Dynamics is a JPJ-authorized SLD provider, supplying UN R89-compliant devices capped at 90 km/h for heavy goods vehicles, buses, and passenger fleets across the country.
In Singapore, the Land Transport Authority and Singapore Police Force have mandated that lorries between 3,501kg and 12,000kg Maximum Laden Weight must carry a 60 km/h speed limiter fitted by an authorized agent, effective 1 January 2026. Resolute Dynamics supplies systems designed to meet this standard, ensuring operators can comply with the new regulation.
Beyond core speed limiting, Resolute Dynamics' regional offering includes dual and multi-speed limiters for mixed urban and expressway routes, RPM regulators, GPS tracking integration, and workshop smart lift monitoring. These solutions are backed by fleet pricing, on-site installation, and operator training, leveraging the company's footprint of more than 200,000 vehicles in over 20 countries.
The expansion is strategically important as fleet operators in both countries face tightening regulatory environments. In Malaysia, the phased implementation means many vehicles still need retrofitting, and the looming end of the tax allowance could accelerate demand. In Singapore, the January 2026 deadline is fast approaching, and operators must act to avoid penalties.
Resolute Dynamics' technology is designed to enhance safety and compliance, but also to improve operational efficiency through features like GPS tracking and speed management. By offering a comprehensive suite of solutions, the company aims to be a one-stop partner for fleets navigating these changes.
