Renewal Fuels, Inc. (OTC: RNWF) announced the appointment of Travis Yakimishyn, P.Eng., as chief electrical and power systems officer, effective immediately. In this role, Yakimishyn will oversee electrical architecture and grid integration strategy for Kepler’s Texatron aneutronic fusion platform, a key component of the company’s push toward scalable fusion energy.
Yakimishyn brings extensive experience in grid interconnection, substation design, high-voltage systems, and utility-scale infrastructure. His responsibilities will include advancing scalable electrical design standards and interconnection pathways as development moves toward commercialization. The company stated that Yakimishyn’s expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the Texatron platform meets rigorous electrical and grid integration requirements.
Renewal Fuels also noted it continues to progress additional patent filings for Texatron and regulatory initiatives, including Form 10 preparation, audit completion, and corporate actions tied to its transition to American Fusion. The company is operating under the American Fusion brand following its previously announced merger with Kepler Fusion Technologies and has filed a corporate action with FINRA to change its legal name to American Fusion Inc.
The appointment comes as Renewal Fuels focuses on building a scalable, infrastructure-grade fusion energy platform supported by proprietary technology and disciplined intellectual property development. According to the company, Yakimishyn’s role is critical to ensuring the Texatron platform can be integrated into existing power grids, a crucial step for commercial deployment.
Renewal Fuels’ strategy is centered on long-term commercial deployment objectives for fusion energy, which promises a clean, virtually limitless power source. The company’s proprietary Texatron aneutronic fusion platform is designed to produce energy without the radioactive waste typical of traditional fusion approaches.
