Renaissance BioScience Corp., a global leader in yeast bioengineering, announced the appointment of Dr. James Tansey to its Board of Directors. Dr. Tansey brings extensive experience in life sciences, technology commercialization, fundraising, and corporate governance, which will support Renaissance as it develops and commercializes its yeast-produced RNA and virus-like particle (VLP) platforms for crop protection, animal health, and human health applications.
Dr. Tansey is a professor at the University of British Columbia's Sauder School of Business and previously taught at Oxford University's Saïd Business School. He is a member of the founding team at Gemina Labs, where he supports fundraising, business development, and shareholder strategy. He also serves on the boards of dynaCERT Inc. and Vanadium Resources Ltd., and is a Senior Advisor to InBC, British Columbia's $500 million strategic investment fund. His focus on impact investing and environmental sustainability aligns with Renaissance's mission to address environmental and industrial challenges.
