Relay Hill Auto Acquires Motor Tech Auto Repair, Preserving a 40-Year Legacy in Littleton

Relay Hill Auto has completed the acquisition of Motor Tech Auto Repair, a family-owned automotive repair shop serving Littleton, Centennial, and south Denver since 1982. The deal, announced July 7, 2026, continues Relay Hill Auto's approach of preserving respected neighborhood repair shops while strengthening their teams, facilities, and customer experiences.

Motor Tech Auto Repair has built a reputation over four decades for honest service and dependable repairs. The shop has served drivers in Littleton, Centennial, Greenwood Village, Englewood, and Highlands Ranch, focusing on long-term customer relationships. Charlie, who has overseen the business alongside Brian since 1982, described his passion for the industry: "I was born and raised in automotive, and it has always been my passion." He added, "I wanted to create something with all the knowledge I had gained over the years. I have had some great technicians come through my doors, and one of the most rewarding parts of this business has been passing that knowledge on and watching them grow."

Motor Tech Auto Repair will continue operating at its current location at 6599 S Broadway in Littleton. By joining the Relay Hill Auto network, the shop gains added operational support, expanded training resources, and access to shared best practices across a growing group of locally managed repair facilities. The goal is to honor the shop's history while equipping the team with tools needed to navigate a changing automotive industry.

Relay Hill Auto CEO Shiju Thomas emphasized the importance of preserving trust: "Motor Tech Auto Repair has been an institution of customer service within the Littleton and Centennial community for over 40 years. Our responsibility is to protect that longstanding trust, support the team, and build on the reputation this shop has earned." He added, "We believe in neighborhood automotive repair. We believe local business is part of the integral fabric holding local communities together. Most importantly, we believe customers should feel confident that the people working on their vehicles prioritize integrity over profits – no exceptions."

Under Relay Hill Auto, the shop will focus on technician development, modern diagnostic capabilities, digital vehicle inspections, and a service experience built around transparency and hospitality. The group is also deploying AI to enhance customer communication, workflow transparency, and service quality. Senior Manager Cody Leach said, "The addition of Motor Tech Auto Repair is not about our company simply becoming bigger. We want to make the old school community garage cool again! We'll do that and elevate the industry by modernizing neighborhood shops and bringing a focus back to customers."

Relay Hill Auto operates multiple locations across the Denver metro area, including Hotchkiss Auto Repair in Denver, Arvada Square Auto in Arvada, Applewood Auto Care in Lakewood, Applewood Auto Service in Wheat Ridge, Advanced Transmission Center in Lakewood and Westminster, and now Motor Tech Auto Repair in Littleton. Each location remains locally managed with a shared mission of building community in the neighborhoods they serve.
