Quantum Critical Metals Corp. (TSX.V:LEAP | OTCQB:ATOXF | FSE:86A1) has released high-grade silver results from surface sampling at its Babine South property in British Columbia, including independent re-assay confirmation of bonanza-grade silver up to 308 oz/t (9,580 gpt) Ag. The company reported that the re-analysis and independent confirmation of extremely high-grade silver mineralization provide a strong technical basis for advancing the project to its next phase of exploration.
“These results confirm the exceptional silver potential of the Babine South project, underscoring both the exploration upside and the broader scale opportunity. Silver has moved firmly into the global spotlight as demand accelerates across AI and quantum computing, the defense sector, and the build‑out of modern power infrastructure. Record-high silver prices further highlight its importance as a strategic metal,” said Marcy Kiesman, CEO of Quantum.
The 2025 surface rock sampling program returned silver values ranging from 10.9 ppm to 1,150 ppm (0.35 to 36.97 oz/t Ag), accompanied by anomalous base metals including zinc up to 13,500 ppm (1.35%) and lead up to 3,710 ppm (0.37%). The results underscore the polymetallic nature of the system, with potential for zinc and lead credits.
To re-confirm high-grade results from the 2024 program, four representative samples were re-assayed at SGS Canada Minerals in Lakefield, Ontario, using fire assay method GC_FAG32V. The independent laboratory, which operates under ISO/IEC 17025 standards, confirmed silver values ranging from 212.84 to 308.00 oz/t. One sample labeled “tailings” represents discarded material from historical mining activity and is not indicative of current operations.
These results are particularly significant given the global context. Silver was added to the US critical metal list in 2025, reflecting its growing importance in defense, AI, and quantum computing applications. The company noted that investors gain leverage to silver amid a global supply deficit and the strategic metal status.
Planned next steps on the Babine South property include expanded geological mapping, targeted surface sampling, and an induced polarization (IP) survey. These programs are expected to refine existing geophysical and geochemical anomalies and help delineate priority drill targets for the 2026 exploration season.
The Babine South property covers four mineral claims totaling approximately 1,070 ha. The geology includes phyllite, marble, dioritic and monzonitic volcanic and igneous rocks, with four phases of cross-cutting veining. Mineralization includes quartz-carbonate veins with native silver, galena, sphalerite, tetrahedrite, argentite, and chalcopyrite. The deposit is thought to be epithermal, with historical association of veining with foliation and shear zones.
