q.beyond AG has successfully completed its public share buyback offer, repurchasing 2,490,905 treasury shares, equivalent to around 10% of all shares in the company, for a total purchase price of approximately EUR 9.42 million. The offer, which was published on 28 August 2026, was significantly oversubscribed, with 4,878,907 shares validly tendered by the expiry of the acceptance period. As a result, allocations were made on a prorated basis, with an allocation ratio of 51.07%.
The buyback reinforces q.beyond's accelerated AI transformation, according to CEO Thies Rixen. "In light of our current valuation, purchasing treasury shares represented the best option for deploying our high volume of net liquidity," Rixen explained. "Our accelerated AI transformation is currently creating an ever-stronger basis for growing our profitability and opening up new prospects for our shares. I am therefore convinced that this investment will pay off for q.beyond and our shareholders."
The move matters because it demonstrates q.beyond's confidence in its strategic direction and financial health. By using its net liquidity to repurchase shares, the company is effectively returning value to shareholders while also tightening its share count, which could boost earnings per share in the future. The strong demand for the buyback, evidenced by the oversubscription, suggests that shareholders believe in the company's valuation and prospects.
