Q-NEX Launches Smart Lectern SL100 to Streamline Professional Presentation Spaces

As presentation environments become increasingly technology-driven, traditional lecterns often fall short, providing only a physical workspace while presenters juggle multiple displays, sources, and control systems. Addressing this gap, Returnstar Technology has launched the Q-NEX Smart Lectern SL100, an integrated digital podium designed to bring audience communication, content interaction, and system control together into one cohesive unit.

The SL100 features a dedicated 23.8-inch front-facing Full HD display for audience-facing content such as meeting information, event schedules, and welcome messages. This display can be updated locally via USB or remotely through a mobile app, eliminating the need for additional signage devices. For presenters, the lectern integrates a 23.8-inch interactive pen and touch display with a built-in Windows PC, allowing direct access to presentation materials and natural annotation with Microsoft Pen Protocol (MPP)-compatible pens. This reduces reliance on external laptops or separate interactive displays.

AV control is also simplified. The SL100's integrated control panel manages 3×3 matrix switching, device control, presentation timing, and audio adjustment, with core local controls functioning without an internet connection—a critical feature for environments with unstable network conditions. Furthermore, integration with the Q-NEX Platform enables remote management via a web console or mobile app, allowing administrators to oversee multiple lecterns and connected devices across different spaces efficiently.

The SL100 is part of Q-NEX's digital podium series, which includes the NDP200 for larger venues like auditoriums and the NDP600 for classrooms with existing lecterns. According to the company, the series follows a unified approach, merging presentation, AV control, interaction, and device management into a single solution. This helps organizations build more efficient, connected, and future-ready presentation environments.

By addressing the limitations of traditional lecterns and offering remote management capabilities, the SL100 is poised to enhance professional presentation spaces, making technology integration more seamless and manageable. For more information, visit the Q-NEX website.
