Puerto Rico’s Day at the Ballpark is set to continue its 2026 nationwide series with three upcoming celebrations in Colorado, Chicago, and Los Angeles, showcasing the island’s deep-rooted connection to baseball. Presented by Discover Puerto Rico and produced by 21 Events, the events will recognize Puerto Rican players and celebrate the island’s cultural influence in the sport.
The series will visit Coors Field in Colorado on August 18, followed by Rate Field in Chicago on August 22, and Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles on August 23. Each event will feature unique in-stadium experiences, player recognitions, and Puerto Rico-themed elements, building on a tradition that has traveled to ballparks across the country since 2023.
In Denver, the Colorado Rockies will host the celebration, featuring Willi Castro and Coach Andy González. Planned activities include a first pitch by Benjamin Oaks, owner of Aguanile, the first Puerto Rican dinner club in Denver, along with an on-field presentation, scoreboard tributes, and fan engagement activities.
In Chicago, the event will honor legendary pitcher Roberto Hernandez during a game between the New York Mets and the Chicago White Sox. Award-winning Puerto Rican chef Monti Carlo will throw the first pitch, and the celebration will include an on-field presentation and various in-stadium activations.
In Los Angeles, Kiké Hernández and Edwin Diaz will be recognized, with former Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2020 Estefanía Soto throwing the first pitch. The event will feature an on-field presentation and additional fan experiences.

Pérez, CEO of Discover Puerto Rico, “Puerto Rico’s relationship with baseball is rooted in generations of players who have competed at the highest level and represented our Island with tremendous pride. Most recently, Carlos Beltrán became Puerto Rico’s sixth inductee into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, further cementing our Island’s enduring legacy in the sport.”
Fans attending the events can also participate in the Ballpark to Island Giveaway, which offers a trip for two to Puerto Rico, including airfare, hotel accommodations, and special experiences. The giveaway is open to U.S. residents 18 and over, with no purchase necessary.

Since its debut in 2023, Puerto Rico’s Day at the Ballpark has grown into a signature national series, and following the August events, the 2026 series will continue in September for its final scheduled stop.
