Premier Graphene, Inc. (OTC: BIEI), a developer of graphene-based defense technologies, together with its joint venture partner HGI Industrial Technologies SAPI, has been awarded a defense contract by Mexico’s Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional (SEDENA). The contract was issued by the Dirección General de Fábrica de Vestuario y Equipo (FAVE), a manufacturing division of SEDENA, following a formal request for proposal and extensive pre-award testing that demonstrated compliance with military specifications.
The contract covers the production of specialized belt assemblies with lower back support and integrated ammunition carriers, designed to meet military operational requirements. The first production run will serve as a qualification and validation batch, subject to rigorous testing by Mexican military authorities. This initial award establishes Premier Graphene and HGI as qualified suppliers within Mexico’s defense procurement system.
According to Pedro Mendez, President of Premier Graphene and HGI, the contract represents an important validation of their technology and ability to meet military standards. Lic. Emmanuel Hernández Rico noted that additional procurement opportunities remain under review, including potential contracts for heavy military hardware, vehicle protection, and anti-drone technology, pending ITAR certification.
The companies believe that successful completion of this contract will open pathways to additional military and security procurement programs in Mexico and throughout Latin America. Prior testing and product evaluations for other military applications have already been conducted in the region. Premier Graphene and HGI have secured necessary financing to support production, with initial product delivery expected within ten business days.
