Powermax Minerals Inc. (CSE: PMAX) (OTCQB: PWMXF) (FSE: T23) has completed a 1,409-line-kilometre high-resolution magnetic and radiometric helicopter survey over its Atikokan REE Property in northwestern Ontario. The survey, carried out by Geo Data Solutions GDS Inc., utilized 50-metre line spacing and adhered to all NRCan and IAEA standards, ensuring low magnetic noise, precise GPS control, and consistent calibration for potassium, thorium and uranium measurements.
The data were processed using Geosoft Montaj and Praga NASVD software and will be integrated with existing geological and geochemical datasets. This integration aims to refine structural and lithological interpretations, delineate magnetic trends, and identify potential mineralized zones for follow-up exploration. The high-resolution nature of the survey is expected to significantly enhance the understanding of the property's geology and target high-priority areas for rare earth element (REE) mineralization.
The Atikokan REE Property consists of 455 unpatented mining claims in northwestern Ontario, an area known for its potential to host critical minerals. This survey marks a key step in advancing the project toward drill-ready targets. Powermax Minerals is focused on advancing rare earth element projects, holding options on the Cameron REE Property in British Columbia and the Atikokan property, as well as a 100% interest in the Ogden Bear Lodge Project in Wyoming.
The completion of this survey is significant as it provides high-quality geophysical data that can reduce exploration risk and increase the likelihood of discovering economic REE mineralization. Rare earth elements are essential for many modern technologies, including electric vehicles, wind turbines, and defense systems, making domestic sources strategically important. By advancing the Atikokan property, Powermax Minerals contributes to the development of a North American supply chain for these critical materials.
