Pepperdine University has announced the establishment of the Drs. Martha and Faustino Bernadett Endowed Faculty Fellows Program at the Pepperdine Graziadio Business School, funded by a $1 million endowment from the Bernadett family. The program aims to support faculty research that strengthens student learning, promotes ethical business practices, and contributes to the school's mission of developing principled leaders.
The endowment, created by Faustino Bernadett, a retired physician, and his wife Martha, a member of Pepperdine's Board of Regents, will generate approximately $50,000 annually to support up to four faculty fellows each year. During the pledge period, $50,000 in annual support will enable the fellowship to launch immediately. The Bernadett name will be associated with advancing faculty research that benefits students and the broader business community.
Faculty fellows will pursue research in areas such as family enterprise and succession planning, innovation and entrepreneurial leadership, and ethical decision-making in business. Their insights will be integrated into the classroom, helping students strengthen ethical reasoning, entrepreneurial mindset, and business acumen. The program reflects the Bernadett family's legacy of success, service, and ethical leadership in the medical field and their commitment to preparing leaders of purpose, service, and integrity.
