OPPO Opens Up the Next Level of Making Behind Find X10 Series

OPPO has offered media a closer look at the development, testing, and manufacturing processes behind its Find X10 Series, following the global debut of the flagship lineup. The initiative, dubbed the Next Level of Making, is intended to demonstrate how the company's integrated approach to design, mobile imaging, and artificial intelligence translates into consistent quality at global scale. The announcement matters because it shifts attention from individual product specifications to the systems and controls that determine whether those features perform reliably across markets and use cases.

According to Media OutReach Newswire, the tour detailed how OPPO develops and verifies each technology and feature through rigorous processes. Ling Liu, Overseas CMO of OPPO, said quality is the foundation of the company's product portfolio and that control over the product creation process allows it to realize that commitment at scale. The company framed the effort as an extension of last year's Apex Guard quality initiative, opening up its development, testing, and manufacturing operations to show how that vision is executed.

The design of the Find X10 Series illustrates the approach. OPPO's Clean and Sophisticated design language is expressed through a One-Piece Sculpted Glass back cover that rises gradually toward the camera area, creating a three-level transition intended to soften the camera's visual impact. On the Luna White edition of the Find X10 Pro Max, a fluted texture along the camera module is crafted through high-precision CNC engraving, while a two-tone woven pattern emerges within the matte glass surface as light changes. OPPO said the Luna White colorway alone underwent more than 40 rounds of fine-tuning, and a single rear-panel pattern requires over 10 rounds of refinement across multi-stage precision treatments.

Imaging remains central to the series. Building on its co-development with Hasselblad that began in 2022, OPPO equips the Find X10 Series with three Hasselblad modes—Master Mode, Hi-Res Mode, and Portrait Mode—alongside a next-generation LUMO True Image Engine. The engine spans three architectures: the LUMO Natural Tone Engine for linear tonal rendering, the LUMO True Color Engine drawing on a 24-channel multispectral sensor, and the LUMO Hyper Pixel Engine for continuous 26MP output by default and full-resolution 200MP photos in Hasselblad Hi-Res Mode. OPPO said it tests HDR performance, facial brightness, and skin-tone gradation across 40 lighting conditions, and evaluates color against 140 different colors rather than the industry-standard 24-color chart.

AI is another pillar. ColorOS 17 introduces system-level AI supported by a dedicated security framework. The updated AI Mind Pilot adds an Agent Mode powered by the third-party AI agent Manus, capable of understanding complex context and executing multi-step workflows on the device across photos and files. A new AI Photo Agent, backed by OPPO's proprietary Visual-Language Model and six expert image models, interprets visual references and natural-language instructions to make suggested or requested edits. OPPO operates nine Internet Data Centers across six regions with 99.99% availability, and its Private Computing Cloud, developed with Google, isolates and protects user data processed in the cloud.

Manufacturing scale underpins the effort. OPPO operates nine smart manufacturing centers globally, spanning China, India, Indonesia, Egypt, Turkey, Brazil, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, with over 95% of Surface Mount Technology lines and an average of 85% of final assembly lines fully automated. At the Chang'an Intelligent Manufacturing Center in China, more than 300 automated testing stations on final assembly lines help accelerate the path from early R&D concepts to high-quality production, with the center shipping up to 7,200 finished Find X10 Pro Max devices per day. The implication is that OPPO is positioning manufacturing precision and testing rigor as differentiators, arguing that the Next Level of Making is what allows advanced features to reach users worldwide with consistency.
