The grand opening, scheduled for October 30 through November 2, will feature various events, including a bounce house, raffle giveaways, face painting, a petting zoo, and special promotions. The first 25 customers on Thursday, October 30, will receive a $25 gift card. Additional activities include a visit from a mobile coffee cart on Friday, superhero appearances, and a trick-or-treat event in costumes. On Saturday, November 1, William's Creations will sell food, and Sunday, November 2, offers double loyalty points for purchases or sales.
Once Upon A Child focuses on sustainability by keeping items out of landfills. Unlike consignment stores, it pays immediately for items it purchases and does not require appointments. The store ensures all products meet safety standards by staying updated on recalls and checking items thoroughly.
Newton, a former educator and mother of three, was inspired to open the franchise after driving 45 minutes to the nearest Once Upon A Child. She saw an opportunity to bring convenience and savings to her hometown. “Wilson is such a hardworking, family-oriented community, and I’m excited to give local parents a place where they can save money, shop sustainably, and connect with others,” she said.
