Novogenia AG Reports H1 2026 Results and Strategic Growth Initiatives

Novogenia AG, a Munich-based international healthcare company specializing in human genetics and personalized health products, has released its issuer report for the first half of 2026. The report reveals a mixed financial performance, with consolidated revenue declining 7% to EUR 25.7 million from EUR 26.5 million in the prior-year period. The decline was primarily attributed to lower volumes in the pharmaceutical and medical device trading segment due to regulatory changes. However, the core business areas of DNA analysis and personalized products achieved positive revenue growth, signaling resilience in the company's strategic focus.

CEO Dr. Daniel Wallerstorfer commented, “The financial performance in the first half of 2026 did not meet our expectations in all business areas... However, we are encouraged by the positive year-on-year development of our core business in DNA analyses and personalized health products, as well as by a significant reduction in our cost base.” The company reported an improvement in operating profit of approximately EUR 2.7 million due to cost savings in materials, personnel, and other operating expenses. Nevertheless, EBIT remained negative at EUR -4.7 million, though this represented a 4.1% improvement compared to the previous year. Consolidated net income was -EUR 2.1 million, a swing from a positive EUR 2.0 million in the prior-year period, which had benefited from a significantly higher financial result.

Despite the revenue dip, Novogenia maintains a solid financial position with EUR 39.8 million in cash and cash equivalents as of June 30, 2026, down from EUR 71.9 million a year earlier. This liquidity provides the company with the flexibility to drive its strategic initiatives. In the first half, Novogenia made notable progress in expanding its international footprint. The collaboration with 10X Health Systems was deepened through advancement of a joint product pipeline, and the enhanced Methylation Test MGT Plus was successfully launched in the U.S. market. Additionally, preparations for market entry in the Middle East with G42 in Abu Dhabi advanced, including product adaptations and Halal certification preparations.

Novogenia also expanded its preventive healthcare offerings with the launch of the Multi-Cancer Check and established a new software platform for its NovoDaily product line to improve development efficiency. Construction of a new company site in Hallwang near Salzburg commenced, featuring over 9,300 square meters for laboratory, production, and R&D space, with completion planned for early 2028. The company also completed its rebranding from Darwin AG to Novogenia AG in July 2026, a move approved at the 2026 Annual General Meeting, to consolidate brand identity and enhance visibility.

Looking ahead, Novogenia will engage with investors and industry stakeholders at several conferences. CEO Dr. Daniel Wallerstorfer will present at the Abu Dhabi Future Health Summit from October 20–22, 2026, marking the company's first presentation of personalized health solutions in the Middle East. CIO Felix Bausch will participate in the 5th Zurich Investor Day on September 29, 2026, and the ODDO BHF Autumn Round Table on October 22, 2026. Both executives will attend the Deutsches Eigenkapitalforum 2026 from November 23–25, 2026. These engagements underscore Novogenia's commitment to strengthening its capital market presence and advancing its strategic growth initiatives.
