NORMA Group SE will reduce its Management Board from three to two members, the company's Supervisory Board announced on September 21, 2026. The board will consist of the CEO and CFO going forward. Dr. Daniel Heymann, Chief Operating Officer and member of the Management Board, stepped down effective September 14, 2026, by mutual agreement with the company.
The move reflects the changed size and setup of NORMA Group as part of its transformation towards NewNORMA. Following the sale of the Water Management business and a realignment of its management approach, the company is becoming visibly leaner, more transparent and more competitive. In July 2026, the Supervisory Board itself was reduced from six to five members after approval by the Annual General Meeting.
Birgit Seeger, CEO of NORMA Group, thanked Dr. Heymann for the trusted and constructive collaboration and wished him well. She said the transformation towards NewNORMA involves consistently aligning the company with its future size and organizational setup, including an appropriately lean management structure.
Mark Wilhelms, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, said reducing the size of the Management Board will make NORMA Group more agile and enhance the Group's competitiveness, enabling it to better leverage the opportunities created as part of the transformation strategy.
The decision matters because it signals a fundamental shift in how NORMA Group is positioning itself for the future. By cutting the number of board members, the company aims to streamline decision-making and reduce overhead, which could improve its ability to respond to market changes. The reduction follows the divestment of the Water Management business, a move that has shrunk the company's scope and prompted a reevaluation of its leadership needs.
