Nordex Group Secures New U.S. Orders Totaling More Than 480 MW

The Nordex Group has announced three new orders in the United States, with a combined capacity exceeding 480 megawatts (MW). The contracts involve the supply of 81 N163/5.X turbines, and while the names of the customers and projects have not been disclosed, the deliveries will be tailored to meet specific customer requirements. This move is set to further solidify Nordex's presence in the U.S. market, a key region for the company's growth strategy.

Manav Sharma, CEO of Nordex North America, expressed gratitude for the trust placed in the company, stating, "These new orders reflect once again the trust our customers place in Nordex and in our ability to deliver and service projects reliably and efficiently." He emphasized that the momentum in the region is driven by strong customer partnerships, dedicated execution and service teams, and robust manufacturing capabilities. Sharma reiterated the company's focus on delivering value and supporting customers' long-term energy goals.

The turbines for these projects will be manufactured at Nordex's production facility in Iowa, which underscores the company's commitment to local manufacturing and its ability to serve the U.S. market efficiently. This announcement comes as part of Nordex's broader efforts to expand its footprint in North America, where the demand for wind energy continues to grow.

Nordex Group has a long history of wind power development, having commissioned more than 64 gigawatts (GW) of wind power capacity across over 40 markets since 1985. In 2025, the company generated consolidated sales of approximately EUR 7.6 billion. With a workforce exceeding 11,100 employees, Nordex operates manufacturing facilities in Germany, Spain, Brazil, India, and the USA. Its product portfolio focuses on onshore turbines in the 4 to 7 MW+ classes, designed to meet the needs of markets with limited space and constrained grid capacity.

The company's global service network ensures smooth operation of its turbines, and its shares are listed on the MDAX and TecDAX of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. For more information, visit the original release on NewMediaWire.
