Nordex Group Secures 389 MW in New Orders in Turkiye, Reinforcing Market Leadership

Nordex Group has announced a series of new orders totaling 389 MW in Turkiye, solidifying its position as a leading wind turbine supplier in one of its key markets. The contracts, secured in September, cover the supply and installation of 56 wind turbines from the Delta4000 series, along with multi-year service and maintenance agreements. These agreements are designed to ensure high turbine availability and efficient, reliable operation over the long term.

The turbines have been selected with configurations tailored to the specific wind conditions, technical requirements, and site characteristics of each project, including energy storage integration. This customized approach supports efficient and reliable energy generation across diverse locations. Installation and commissioning are scheduled to begin in 2027 and continue through 2028, aligning with individual project timelines.

Ender Ozatay, Vice President Region Turkiye and Middle East of the Nordex Group, commented, "These new orders underline the continued confidence of our customers in Nordex and further strengthen our market leading position in Turkiye, one of our key markets. With turbine configurations tailored to the specific requirements of each site and comprehensive long-term service agreements, we will support our customers in delivering reliable, high-yield wind projects and advancing Turkiye’s renewable energy ambitions." The names of the customers and projects remain undisclosed.

This development is significant for several reasons. Turkiye has been actively expanding its renewable energy capacity to reduce dependence on imported fossil fuels and meet growing electricity demand. Nordex's orders contribute directly to these goals, adding substantial wind power capacity that will help diversify the energy mix and lower carbon emissions. The tailored turbine configurations, including energy storage, demonstrate the company's ability to address complex grid and site conditions, which is crucial for maximizing energy yield and ensuring grid stability.

Moreover, the multi-year service agreements provide long-term revenue visibility for Nordex and ensure that the turbines operate at optimal performance, reducing downtime and maintenance costs for customers. This is particularly important in a market like Turkiye, where consistent energy generation is vital for economic growth.

Nordex's continued success in Turkiye also underscores its competitive edge in the global wind industry. With over 64 GW of wind power capacity commissioned across more than 40 markets since 1985, the company has a proven track record. Its focus on onshore turbines in the 4 to 7 MW+ classes is well-suited for countries with limited space and constrained grid capacity, making it an ideal partner for Turkiye's renewable energy expansion.

The orders also highlight the growing trend of incorporating energy storage into wind projects, which enhances grid flexibility and allows for better integration of intermittent renewable sources. As Turkiye aims to increase its renewable share, such projects will be instrumental in achieving its targets.
