Children's author Sara Newman has released a new picture book, My Mommy Is a Vampire, that transforms a classic monster into a loving mother. The book, aimed at children ages 4–8, combines playful imagination with a message about unconditional love and acceptance.
The story follows a young child who sometimes wishes for a "normal" mom. Unlike other mothers, the vampire mommy avoids sunlight and mirrors and faces unique daytime challenges.
