NanoViricides to Present at PODD 2025 Conference, Highlighting Broad-Spectrum Antiviral Pipeline

NanoViricides, Inc. (NYSE American: NNVC), a clinical-stage company developing broad-spectrum antiviral drugs designed to prevent viral escape, announced it will present at the PODD 2025 Conference on Monday, Oct. 27, at 3 p.m. ET in Track 5A at the Westin Copley Hotel, Boston. President and Executive Chairman Anil R. Diwan, PhD, will provide updates on the company’s antiviral drug pipeline and platform technologies available for licensing.

NanoViricides’ lead candidate, NV-387, is advancing toward Phase II trials for MPox and respiratory viral infections, with preclinical studies showing strong efficacy against RSV, Influenza A, and Coronaviruses. The company’s novel nanoviricide class of drug candidates and the nanoviricide technology are based on intellectual property, technology, and proprietary know-how of TheraCour Pharma, Inc. NanoViricides holds a worldwide exclusive perpetual license to this technology for several drugs with specific targeting mechanisms.

In addition to NV-387, the company is developing drugs against a number of viral diseases including oral and genital Herpes, viral diseases of the eye, H1N1 swine flu, H5N1 bird flu, seasonal Influenza, HIV, Hepatitis C, Rabies, Dengue fever, and Ebola virus. The company’s other advanced drug candidate is NV-HHV-1 for the treatment of Shingles.

NanoViricides’ platform technology and programs are based on the TheraCour nanomedicine technology of TheraCour, which TheraCour licenses from AllExcel. The company intends to obtain a license for RSV, Poxviruses, and/or Enteroviruses if initial research is successful.

The presentation at PODD 2025 is significant as it provides an opportunity for the company to showcase its broad-spectrum antiviral approach, which could address unmet medical needs in treating viruses that often escape single-target therapies. The lead candidate NV-387's advancement into Phase II trials represents a critical step toward potential clinical applications.
