Nancy Hicks Marshall Launches 'Six Who Stopped The Steal' at Phoenix Press Conference

Bestselling, award-winning author Nancy Hicks Marshall has announced the release of her new book, Six Who Stopped The Steal, with a press conference scheduled for January 6, 2026, on the Plaza outside the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors Auditorium in Phoenix, Arizona. The event will launch the book and call for restoring respect for elected officials who follow their conscience and the law.

The book recounts the true story of six men in Maricopa County, Arizona—the fifth largest county in the U.S. and a critical swing state—who stood up for the Constitution and the integrity of the 2020 presidential election. On November 3, 2020, one of the best-run and most heavily scrutinized elections in U.S. history delivered a victory for Joe Biden over then-President Donald Trump. Despite independent audits verifying the results, Trump and his allies declared victory and called for action to 'Stop the Steal.' However, on November 20, 2020, five men certified the valid election results, effectively stopping the steal. Others in the Arizona House and Senate prevented an illegal reversal of the results.

Marshall, who has won multiple awards for her fiction and non-fiction, was uniquely positioned to write this story. She previously defended an activist unconstitutionally arrested in the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors auditorium, leading to her award-winning novel A Dry Hate. Shocked by the treatment of these six men—only one of whom is a Democrat—by their fellow Republicans, she set out to learn the inside story.

The book begins with each man describing, in his own words, what events shaped their integrity as adults and public servants. Marshall then explores what 'monsters' in our lives may cause us to reject undeniable evidence, and she provides a clear description of the sophisticated election process. The narrative covers the history of the election, what each man did to stop the steal, how results were audited and certified, and the fallout from lies and personal attacks.

Among those invited to speak at the press conference are Adrian Fontes, current Arizona Secretary of State and former Maricopa County Recorder; Stephen Richer, former County Recorder; and Steven Gallardo, a current member of the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors and one of the six who stopped the steal.

The ebook version of Six Who Stopped The Steal will be available for $0.99 through January 6, 2026, on Amazon.com. More information is available at Marshall's website at NuggetPress.com.

Early endorsements praise Marshall for bringing this critically important story to light. Readers have called the book 'a testament to honesty,' a 'fascinating portrayal of these courageous men,' and 'true patriots.' Marshall has been able to 'showcase the elaborate steps of our election process that prevent fraud' and has written 'a riveting book based on extensive research.'

Marshall also cites several books for understanding these times, including The God of Monkey Science, The Big Truth, and The Emperor's New Clothes by Hans Christian Andersen.
