MEDICLIN Reports Solid First Half of 2026 with Revenue Growth and Improved EBIT

MEDICLIN Aktiengesellschaft (Ticker: MED; WKN 659 510) reported consolidated group revenues of EUR 386.4 million for the first half of 2026, a 5.0% increase from EUR 368.1 million in the prior year. Group EBIT improved by EUR 4.3 million to EUR 26.6 million, compared to EUR 22.4 million in the same period last year. The company treated 54,708 patients, up from 53,183 in the previous year.

CFO Tino Fritz attributed the performance to consistent momentum from the first quarter, stating, "Stability in our core business areas, efficient cost management and targeted investments have helped us to achieve our earnings targets for the second quarter." The company remains focused on maintaining this momentum to strengthen long-term growth.

In the Post-Acute segment, revenues rose 4.6% to EUR 263.0 million, with EBIT increasing to EUR 25.6 million from EUR 23.3 million. The cost of materials ratio improved to 19.0% from 20.0%, while staff costs increased 7.2% to EUR 145.2 million, raising the staff costs ratio to 55.2% from 53.9%.

The Acute Care segment generated revenues of EUR 111.2 million, up from EUR 104.6 million, but EBIT remained negative at EUR -1.1 million, unchanged from the prior year. Cost of materials rose 12.2% to EUR 34.6 million, and the cost of materials ratio increased to 31.1% from 29.5%.

Revenue in the Care segment edged up to EUR 12.3 million from EUR 12.1 million, with segment EBIT turning positive at EUR 0.2 million, compared to EUR -0.2 million in the prior year.

The Service segment reported other income of EUR 69.2 million, slightly above the EUR 68.5 million in the previous year, and EBIT improved to EUR 1.9 million from EUR 0.5 million.

For the full fiscal year 2026, the management board expects consolidated group revenue growth of 3.5% to 6.5% and group EBIT between EUR 57.0 million and EUR 72.0 million. The interim report as at 30 June 2026 is available at www.mediclin.de in German and English.
