MEDICLIN Aktiengesellschaft (ticker: MED; WKN 659 510) reported consolidated group sales of EUR 586.9 million for the first nine months of 2025, a 5.1% increase from EUR 558.2 million in the same period last year. The group operating result rose significantly to EUR 48.9 million, compared with EUR 34.5 million in 9M 2024. Overall capacity utilization remained stable at 86.8%, slightly up from 86.0% a year earlier.
In the post-acute segment, sales grew 9.3% to EUR 394.6 million, and segment operating result increased by EUR 9.6 million to EUR 47.6 million. The cost of materials ratio improved to 19.5% from 20.4%, while personnel expenses rose 9.4% to EUR 205.0 million due to salary increases and higher headcount, keeping the personnel expense ratio unchanged at 51.9%.
The acute segment was impacted by the sale of the former MEDICLIN Herzzentrum Coswig. Segment sales decreased 3.2% to EUR 177.3 million, but operating result improved by EUR 4.5 million to EUR 0.7 million, driven by lower costs. The cost of materials ratio fell to 28.0%, and the personnel expense ratio declined to 59.4%.
Nursing care sales increased to EUR 18.6 million, but the segment posted a slight operating loss of EUR -0.4 million. The service segment saw sales rise to EUR 74.8 million and operating result improve to EUR 1.0 million.
MEDICLIN's Management Board confirmed its full-year guidance, expecting consolidated group sales growth of 2.0% to 5.0% and consolidated group EBIT between EUR 53.0 million and EUR 64.0 million. CFO Tino Fritz stated, "With the current quarterly results, we are demonstrating that we will achieve our original annual guidance and successfully conclude the current financial year."
