MAX Power Mining Identifies High-Priority Drill Targets for Natural Hydrogen in Saskatchewan

MAX Power Mining Corp. (CSE: MAXX; OTC: MAXXF; FRANKFURT: 89N) has announced that interpretation of 3D seismic data at its 28-square-kilometer Lawson Complex in Saskatchewan has identified the first series of high-priority follow-up drill targets for an expanded near-term multi-well program. The program aims to advance commercial validation of its natural hydrogen system, which represents Canada’s first-ever subsurface natural hydrogen system confirmed through deep drilling.

The company stated that surveying has been completed for six proposed initial well locations, with the first three drill targets finalized and well licensing expected in the coming days. The drilling campaign will focus on evaluating key commercial parameters including gas flow, volume, concentration, reservoir continuity, pressure response and potential helium content, while refining exploration and production models in real time.

MAX Power is also expanding its regional exploration efforts through aggressive 2D seismic data acquisition across the 475-kilometer Genesis Trend, which the company believes could host multiple additional natural hydrogen prospects. The company holds approximately 1.3 million acres (521,000 hectares) of permits covering prime exploration ground in Saskatchewan.

This announcement is significant because natural hydrogen, also known as white hydrogen, is a potentially low-carbon energy source that could play a role in decarbonization. By advancing the commercial validation of its natural hydrogen system, MAX Power is positioning itself at the forefront of an emerging industry. The identification of high-priority drill targets and the planned multi-well program are critical steps toward assessing the commercial viability of the resource.

The company’s efforts align with the broader shift to decarbonization, as natural hydrogen offers a potentially clean alternative to fossil fuels. The expansion of exploration across the Genesis Trend suggests that MAX Power is committed to building a substantial resource base. MAX Power also holds a portfolio of properties in the United States and Canada focused on critical minerals, including a 2024 diamond drilling discovery at the Willcox Playa Lithium Project in southeast Arizona. The company is committed to responsible exploration and development practices that prioritize environmental stewardship, meaningful community engagement, and strong corporate governance.
