The Martial Arts History Museum is set to unveil its new permanent Armenian Exhibit during a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony this Saturday, June 27, at 4:00 PM at its Glendale location. The event, sponsored in part by US Armenia, marks a significant expansion of the museum's focus on cultural diversity and community outreach.
The celebration will feature a live Armenian martial arts demonstration, speeches from dignitaries representing the City of Glendale, and light refreshments. The museum, founded in 1999, relocated to Glendale two years ago and has since broadened its scope beyond Asian martial arts to include a more global perspective. Rather than emphasizing physical combat, the museum explores the art, history, culture, and traditions behind martial arts disciplines.
The permanent Armenian Exhibit represents a new chapter for the institution, enriching its diverse celebration of global cultures. The museum's mission is to preserve and share the history, art, and traditions of martial arts worldwide through immersive exhibits, community outreach, and special events. Located at 201 N. Brand Blvd., B100, Glendale, CA 91203, the event is free and open to the public.
