Chia-Lin Simmons, CEO of LogicMark Inc. (OTC: LGMK), recently appeared on Benzinga's All-Access to discuss the company's latest innovations in personal emergency response systems (PERS). LogicMark, which manufactures health communications devices and IoT technologies for seniors, has been pushing the boundaries of what medical alert products can offer, according to Simmons. She highlighted the Freedom Alert Max as a prime example, describing it as a microsized phone that requires no programming and is the only product in the industry that allows for video check-in.
The Freedom Alert Max is a fully functional cellular phone that includes fall detection, geofencing location boundaries, and unlimited non-emergency calls. Simmons noted that this product is designed to provide a connected care platform for seniors whether they are at home or on the go. The device aims to offer peace of mind to both users and their loved ones by combining traditional PERS features with modern smartphone capabilities.
Under Simmons' leadership since 2021, LogicMark has focused on both hardware and software innovation. The company recently reported double-digit revenue growth in the second quarter, and Simmons expressed optimism about maintaining that momentum for the remainder of the year and into next. To support this growth, LogicMark hired Jeffrey Durkin as senior vice president of sales. “We’re focused on growth, sales and earnings,” Simmons said.
