Pressed from olives grown on the southern coastline of Lakonia, Greece, this release follows a year of careful cultivation and precise harvest timing. The oils are now available at laconiko.com, the company's Manassas, VA showroom, and through select specialty retailers nationwide.
The new harvest includes two products: Laconiko Estate Olive Oil ($29.95/500 ml) and Laconiko Olio Nuovo ($39.95/500 ml). Both are produced from early-harvested green Koroneiki olives, first cold-pressed within hours of picking. The Estate Oil features fresh green fruit aroma with notes of freshly cut grass and ripe banana, finishing with a pleasant peppery note indicative of high polyphenol content. The Olio Nuovo, harvested during the first week of the Koroneiki harvest, offers bolder flavors with fresh cut greens, green tomato, and arugula notes, and a persistent peppery finish.
Diamantis Pierrakos, Producer and Co-Owner of Laconiko, emphasized the company's commitment to quality despite challenging weather conditions.
