JoySauce TV Launches on Roku, Expanding Reach to Over 100 Million Households

JoySauce, the leading lifestyle and entertainment company for 'American Asians' and fans of broader Asian pop culture, has officially launched its streaming network, JoySauce TV, on the Roku Channel. The launch, which took place on June 30, 2026, marks a major milestone in the network's rapid expansion across North America's largest streaming platforms. With Roku's reach of more than 100 million households, JoySauce TV becomes the first AAPI channel to be added on Roku, significantly expanding its audience and solidifying its position as the premier destination for American Asian entertainment.

The Roku debut follows recent distribution launches on Amazon Prime Video and Plex, continuing JoySauce's momentum as it builds a comprehensive platform for American Asian culture and storytelling. Viewers can now access JoySauce TV for free across Roku, Amazon Prime Video, Plex, YouTube, JoySauce.TV, and mobile applications. This expansion is a testament to the network's commitment to making AAPI stories available wherever audiences choose to watch.

Founded by tech and media entrepreneur Jonathan Ng Sposato, JoySauce was created to address a longstanding gap in media representation while celebrating the extraordinary creativity and cultural influence of 'American Asians.' As audiences increasingly embrace Asian content globally—from film and television to food, music, fashion, and gaming—JoySauce has emerged as a unique platform dedicated specifically to the American Asian experience while also appealing to general market audiences.

The network's expansion comes amid a period of accelerating growth. Over the past year, JoySauce has broadened its distribution footprint, strengthened its position as a leading voice in American Asian entertainment and culture, expanded its original programming slate, forged new partnerships with creators and cultural organizations, and recently submitted its original series Jokes With JoySauce for Emmy® consideration in the category of Outstanding Short Form Comedy, Drama or Variety Series.

Today, JoySauce offers viewers a growing library of original productions and acquired content spanning scripted comedy, feature films, reality programming, documentaries, music, stand-up comedy, and community conversations. Programming highlights include JoySauce Late Night, the first-ever AAPI late-night talk show featuring celebrity guests, live performances, and sketch comedy; Jokes with JoySauce, the first-ever all AAPI standup comedy review, currently in consideration for an Emmy in the Short Form Comedy Category; Team Tan, following professional Chinese American female race car driver Samantha Tan as she competes on the global motorsports stage; Live Cultural Moments, streaming prestigious award shows live such as AAPI Critic's Choice, Galas, and concerts from the very best of AAPI entertainers; Asian Cinema Showcase, featuring acclaimed films from across Asia alongside emerging AAPI filmmakers; Cult Classics, a curated collection of action, comedy, horror, sci-fi, and independent films that push creative boundaries; Asian Game Shows & Variety Series, showcasing some of Asia's most inventive and entertaining television formats; and Anime & Tokusatsu programming, including beloved classics and hard-to-find fan favorites.

The Roku launch further strengthens JoySauce's ability to reach audiences where they increasingly consume content: on connected televisions in the living room. At a time when Asian and Asian American culture is enjoying unprecedented influence in mainstream entertainment, JoySauce is building a network that serves both underserved American Asian audiences and anyone interested in discovering fresh stories and perspectives.

'Five years ago, JoySauce started with a simple belief: American Asians deserve a much bigger stage,' said Jonathan Sposato, Founder and CEO of JoySauce. 'Today, we're building that big stage. JoySauce aspires to create a world where AAPI's stand with greater stature, walk with more swagger, and dance with immense joy. Launching on Roku is another important step toward making Asian American stories available wherever audiences choose to watch. And while JoySauce has always believed that representation matters, so does being genuinely entertaining and fun for everyone. If we can make audiences both AAPI and non-asian laugh together, think, discover something new, and maybe fill some of their hearts with pride, we've done our job. We are also highly grateful for the allyship of our distribution partners Cineverse, in addition to our friends at Roku.'

Brandon Ferguson, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of JoySauce, added: 'Building a lasting media company isn't just about distribution or audience growth. It's about creating the platform that allows creators, communities, and great stories to thrive for years to come. Every new platform expands our reach, but it also strengthens the ecosystem we're building around American Asian culture. Roku is another important step in creating an institution that can continue serving audiences, creators, and partners for the long term.'

Added Narumi Inatsugu, Co-Founder & Chief Creative Officer of JoySauce: 'For years, the conversation centered on representation, earning a seat at someone else's table. That work mattered. But the next chapter is ownership. Ownership of our stories. Ownership of our platforms. Ownership of the cultural conversations shaping how America sees itself. The term 'American Asian' is intentional. These stories aren't on the margins of American culture—they're helping define it. JoySauce isn't simply a place where content lives. It's a cultural engine where creators, audiences, and communities create momentum together. Our goal isn't just to document what's happening. It's to help build what comes next.'

Jake Rubin, Co-founding Executive of Digital Networks at JoySauce TV, adds: 'We recognized the glaring absence of the Asian Pacific American experience, coupled with the insatiable demand for Asian pop culture entertainment. Yes, even in a 900+ channel universe, there were voids in the marketplace!'

Additional programming announcements, creator partnerships, and platform expansions are planned throughout 2026 as JoySauce continues its mission of becoming the leading home for American Asian entertainment and culture. For more information about JoySauce, visit Roku or JoySauce.TV.
